About The Event
The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of the different psychotropic medications available to clients. Common psychotropic medications will be discussed as well as their therapeutic effects and side effects.
Upon completion the participant will be able to:
1. Identify major psychotropic medications by name
2. Identify therapeutic purposes of psychotropic medication
3. Identify possible side effects of medications
4. Identify so possible herbal remedies for psychiatric illness
